The GSDG recycling plant started its operations in 2016 by providing its recycling service to all the Saudi Arabian steel plants. Prior to the implementation of our recycling facility, all the hazardous steel dust generated in the Saudi Arabia was either being landfilled or stored on the steel plant sites.
Since then, GSDG has expanded its recycling services within the Middle East and globally.

GSDG provides a logistical service to all the steel mills with onsite services, packaging and transportation of the steel dust in a safe and environmentally friendly manner to the GSDG Plant where the steel dust is then further recycled.
The GSDG site is situated in the Eastern province of the Saudi Arabia close to most of the steel industry. Our facility is designed to treat more than 120kt of hazardous steel dust annually. The recycled products from our facility are the dispatched back into the Zinc sector and other manufacturing sectors.
Our vastly experienced management team compromises of our CEO, CFO and CCO who are aided by our Managing Director. The team is well versed in the business sector and has many years of business experience in sectors varying from manufacturing, industrial, ministerial and financial.
While globally, steel dust is generated from the Steel making process and classified as hazardous waste, we at Global Steel Dust Gulf strive to change it into a plus for society and industry. Using the latest Waelz Kiln technology, GSDG transforms the hazardous steel dust into two beneficial products that can be fully repurposed back into the industry. In so doing we promote the circular economy principle by extracting Zinc from the steel dust and having it reused back into the Zinc making process. This allows the mining of this precious resource to be reduced.
Zinc will remain a vital global resource in everyday lives being present in galvanized steel, medication, agricultural products, and many more applications, being used for many generations to come.
